Perfect for Anyone who wants to Balance, Focus & Relax!
Tai Chi for Health — Arthritis Form Part 1
January 23 – March 13
Thursday, 9 am
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of exercise that is now used widely throughout the world for health promotion and mental relaxation. It uses flowing movement to increases balance, flexibility, strength, mental concentration and relaxation.
Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) was developed from the Sun style of Tai Chi to be safe and effective for people with arthritis or joint problems because the level of exertion can be adjusted to suit each person’s physical condition and the movements are slow and gentle. Qigong movements are also incorporated throughout which deepens the breath and aids in mental focus and relaxation. This program is supported by the Arthritis Foundation of the USA.
This program would be good for anyone who:
- Wants to learn the basic principles of Tai Chi
- Has joint or mobility limitations or arthritis
- Wants to slow down and relax and focus
- Wants or needs a gentler, slower form of exercise
