When trying to eradicate a bad habit, first become aware of everytime it shows up. Keep track in writing without making any judgments about it (or about yourself). It all comes from the perspective of “oh, isn’t that interesting!” I often make a table with date, time, what I was doing at the time, how I was feeling at the time and track it for a week before I try to change anything about it. Awareness is power!
